Born and bred in Malta, Victor Paul Borg is a freelance travel writer and photographer. He has written about 800 articles published around the world, and published in many national newspapers and magazines in the US and the UK. He has researched Malta more extensively than anyone else in the travel publishing industry, and in the past few years he’s also emerged as an authority on travel in Southeast Asia. He is currently based in Southeast Asia, and writes for the leading travel publications such as the Bangkok Post, Lifestyle & Travel, Destinasian, Actin Asia and various inflight magazines, as well as writing about Asia for Western magazines. He has a penchant for remote peoples’ and landscapes, and increasing knowledge of Asia means he’s often the first one to cover some of the emerging tourist attractions in major articles. He currently has two ongoing columns: a column about food and travel for Lifestyle & Travel, and a column about personal inimitable journey to South Africa’s Cape Argus Times. His photography has developed in tandem with his writing, but his pictures also show independent vitality, and are increasingly published in their own right.
